A delicious warming and comforting drink with the benefit of anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric.
If you're wanting to keep this ketogenic or diabetic friendly stick to the stevia or other sweetener you know doesn't spike your blood sugar.
If you're on the Restart Program with me you will need to have this without any sweetener. It's still yum!
1 Tall Glass
1 Teaspoon of Turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of green leaf stevia powder / honey
a sprinkle of vanilla powder
1 Cup of Coconut / cashew or almond milk
1. Put all ingredients in a blender with a couple of ice cubes until mixed well and smooth
or
1. Place all dried ingredients in a bowl with enough boiling water to make a paste. Mix well
2. Add a little more water so it's more of a runny consistency
3. Pour into a glass with your preferred chilled milk and mix well
This has been helping to cool me down in this really hot summer weather. It's also great to help with any afternoon snack cravings and it's good for you. You could also add other spices you like. Ginger is a good one.
